Of what value is all our knowledge of truth . . .
我们对真理的所有认知究竟有什么价值…
if it does not lead us to Jesus;
若它不能引领我们归向耶稣；
if it does not expand our views of His glory;
若它不能扩展我们对祂荣耀的认识；
if it does not conform our minds to His image;
若它不能使我们的心意效法祂的形象；
if it does not increase our love to Him,
若它不能增加我们对祂的爱，
if it does not quicken our obedience to His commands,
若它不能激励我们顺服祂的诫命，
if it does not quicken our zeal for His cause;
若它不能激发我们为祂的事工热心；
if it does not mature us, by a progressive holiness,
若它不能通过渐进的成圣使我们成熟，
for the enjoyment of His beatific presence?
以至于能享受祂那满有福乐的同在？
